Welcome to Theatr Ieuenctid Môn (Ynys Môn Youth Theatre)!
Theatre can transport us anywhere, bringing characters and places to life with words and imagination. Theatr Ieuenctid Môn (Ynys Môn Youth Theatre) has successfully encouraged and supported Anglesey’s children and young people in many aspects of theatre since its inception in 2000. Our weekly workshops are led by experienced tutors, and over the years several hundreds of members have taken advantage of this unique opportunity to develop new skills and make friends.
Our current structure enables our members to experience many different things, from consistent weekly sessions, to specialist one-off classes and workshops, then further into local opportunities with other companies and projects, and signposting towards casting opportunities for television, theatre, film and radio work. We work yearly towards a Christmas pantomime, and fill the year with various experiences based on our members’ requests. We aim to present many different aspects of theatre and drama, following traditional play-making methods and other more inventive co-creation processes.
Our sessions are run naturally through the medium of Welsh, and through this we offer our members a valuable space to use their Welsh in an informal and fun setting. It is essential that our members see the Welsh Language as a language that opens doors for them, in such a unique part of the world.
Details of the TIM bach weekly workshops (7-11yrs):
TIM Bach sessions are held in Theatr Fach Llangefni on Wednesday evenings from 6-7:30pm.
Details of Big TIM weekly workshops (ages 11 – 18):
TIM Mawr sessions are held in Theatr Fach Llangefni on Tuesday evenings from 6:30-8pm.
